Artifacts

Artifacts are mysterious and extremely powerful relics. They are rare and only the selected individuals are able to wield them. Some have the appearance of equipment or weapons, while others seem to be living creatures. It was implied that a form of magic was used to create them.

Billie Eye Lens
Artifact of the Goat - Control, Domination

A set of golden contact lenses found from the depths of the Empire of the Sands. Once worn, these powerful lenses adhered to the user’s eyes, giving them golden eyes and rectangular pupils. The result is a pair of goat-like eyes.

Billie Eye Lens is somewhat sentient and often corrupts its users’ minds. If the user is already a corrupt individual, the lens acts as an enabler for the user to do worse. Over time, the lens fuses with its user, making it impossible to remove the lens without harming the user.

  • Golden Followers Seeding
    • Considered the GOAT mind control, the user can convert their targets into loyal followers by forced subservience. By staring into the target’s eyes, a seed of the Golden Follower is planted into the target’s mind and body, allowing the user to take control of the follower anytime.
    • Strong minds and willpower were shown to resist the initial takeover.
  • Golden Mind Control
    • Once the takeover is complete, the user can control their followers’ minds and actions. The user can also see through his followers’ eyes if activated. But mind-reading is not part of the lens’s abilities.
    • Limitations:
      • Only a certain number of followers can be controlled at the user’s will. The quantity and quality of the mind control depend on the user’s proficiency with the Lens.
      • Distance matters. If a follower is too far away, the user will not be able to control them. However, the follower will remain loyal to the user.

The Beckoning
Artifact of the Boar - corruption, Consumption

The Beckoning is a malicious artifact with a dark and ominous history. Crafted eons ago by a dark sorcerer seeking to harness the very essence of shadows, this insidious artifact emerged from the refined blood of a mysterious Earth animal.

This artifact manifests as a small vial containing an ever-shifting, sentient black ink that seems to absorb all surrounding light.

Those who dare to wield The Beckoning are initially enticed by promises of enhanced strength and the power to manipulate the inky substance into weapons like ethereal wings and blades.

However, The Beckoning is not a mere tool—it is a malevolent force with its own twisted consciousness. Its true nature is revealed when it senses weakness in its wielder. If the possessor proves to be insufficiently competent, the sentient black ink transforms into a creeping darkness that consumes the user’s consciousness. Eventually, the once-empowered individual becomes a puppet, manipulated by The Beckoning’s insidious desires.

Legend has it that The Beckoning is so potent that it has left a trail of ruin across the ages, with tales of fallen kingdoms and shattered civilizations bearing witness to its destructive power.

  • Enhanced Strength and Durability
    • The user can gain unimaginable strength and durability once The Beckoning’s power is fully awakened.
  • Ink Manipulation

Lapinmancer's Charm
Artifact of the Rabbit - Abundance, Excessive

Long ago, a strange being crafted a powerful artifact known as the Lapinmancer’s Charm. Legend has it that the being was inspired by the elusive nature of a simple earth animal, creatures known for their agility and ability to appear and disappear at will. His research soon led him to discover ways to harness this animal’s powers.

However, his research was never completed.

During the Lacuna War, it was said that the Lapinmancer’s Charm played a pivotal and controversial role.

Alpha's Chain
Artifact of the Dog - Forced Loyalty, Obedience, Submission

Forged by a long-vanished evil as a means of absolute control, the Alpha’s Chain was said to judge loyalty itself, forcing its subjects to obey without question, no matter their will.

During the chaos of the Lacuna War, the collar was one of many artifacts that turned the tide of battles in shadows unseen. With its cruel black band ringed by short, gleaming spikes, the Alpha’s Chain can create lesser slave collars. These collars lash around the necks of others, subjugating them completely, ensuring their loyalty flows back to the one who wears the master chain.

When its power stirs fully, the Alpha’s Chain’s wearer can summon spectral hunting hounds—ethereal beasts shaped of teal flame and shadow. These spirit-hounds obey their master’s silent command, tracking prey through worlds seen and unseen, sinking their fangs into the free will of any who dare oppose the pack.

  • Slave Collars
    • The master of the Alpha’s Chain can forge lesser collars drawn from the chain’s power. Once clasped around a victim’s neck, each slave collar binds the wearer in absolute loyalty to the bearer of the master collar—an unbreakable bond, while retaining their memories and skills.
  • Etheral Hound Summons
    • The master collar grants its wearer the power to summon spectral hounds—phantom beasts wreathed in ghostly teal light. These otherworldly hounds obey every command, hunting, guarding, and enforcing their master’s will wherever they roam.

Dragon's Fate
Artifact of the Dragon - time, Balance, Reset

The Dragon’s Fate is a powerful magical artifact created by an ancient race known as the Regalian. It was used to judge criminals and determine their fate. The artifact is said to be able to see all things that have happened or will happen in the world and allows its user to manipulate time.

The artifact is somewhat sentient; it takes on the form of different timepieces depending on its owner’s preference and time period. Over the years, Dragon’s Time had been seen as a sundial, hourglass, incense clocks, and more.

During an ancient war, known as the Lacuna war, it was said that many of these artifacts were lost, and the Dragon’s Fate was one key relic. As time went by, it resurfaced in the household of sculptors…

User/possession:

Dawn-Feathered Crown
Artifact of the Rooster - Truth, Renewal, Clarity

A radiant crown forged from interwoven strands of pale gold and ivory-white metal, shaped into sweeping feathered crests that arc backward. Each feather is etched with impossibly fine lines that shimmer faintly, as though catching light that does not yet exist. At its center rests a teardrop-shaped crystal, glowing with a soft amber hue. The light within it pulses slowly like a rising sun before breaking the horizon.

Those nearby often describe a strange sensation when in its presence—
as if the world is holding its breath before something begins.

  • Flight
    • Grants the wearer the ability to fly, leaving behind faint streaks of golden light that resemble the first rays of dawn cutting through darkness.
  • Master’s Favor — “First Sunrise”
    • When invoked, the Dawn Feathered Crown creates a localized sunrise. This emits waves of golden light that accelerate recovery (physical and mental), stabilize mental corruption or external control (temporarily), and weaken shadow-based or corruption-based entities. This effect is not aggressive—it nurtures rather than destroys.
