Origins
Kael began as a street kid surviving on the fringes of society. When he was ten, he was captured by a villain syndicate and subjected to experimental procedures involving ruby crystal serum for years. The process was agonizing but transformed him, embedding a powerful ruby crystal in his chest that became both his greatest weapon and most visible scar.
He eventually escaped, killing the scientists who had tortured him and turning his newfound powers against the organization that created him.
Now he operates as a lone-wolf bounty hunter with a reputation for getting the job done by any means necessary. The Kant Alliance tolerates him as an “honorary” hero due to his effectiveness.
That changed when a pure-hearted village boy crashed into his life, giving Kael something worth sobering up for—at least on most nights.
