Appearance
Rye Vive is a petite teenager who has a toned and slender build. He has dark and messy green hair and large purple eyes. Due to his lack of sleep from his continuous chemical research, Rye has developed large dark eye circles.
As Pip, the teenager wears a dark green hoodie and a pair of black shorts and combat boots. He also carries a small purple backpack with an animal tail keychain. Despite his natural resistance to toxic chemicals, Pip has a gas mask and occasionally wears it when he deals with chemicals.
Pip also carries various weapons and gadgets, such as poisonous darts and gas bombs. His signature weapon is a dark green metallic blowpipe, which he uses to deliver chemical-loaded darts onto his targets.
Personality
Pip has an unpredictable and eccentric personality despite his sleepy and goth looks. He appears highly excitable and bubbly in a sinister and creepy matter. Unfortunately, he is hard to read as he can switch from being playful and sweet to sadistic and cruel in a finger’s snap.
Pip possesses a sardonic outlook on his life, often poking fun at his own misfortunes. That said, his motivation to succeed is more personal than driven by a desire for victory or glory for his division in the Banshee Ensemble.
The young and inexperienced Leader of Woodwind craved recognition. Unfortunately, his troubled family background made him feel overlooked and undervalued by his own people. He felt he had even been denied the opportunities and respect he deserved, so Pip is willing to take drastic and risky measures to get the recognition he craves.
Despite his small and weak physique, Pip is a clever and resourceful person, using his intelligence and cunningness to outmaneuver his enemies. However, he is also driven by a strong sense of ambition and a deep-seated need for validation, which lead him to make reckless and selfish decisions.
Ultimately, this teenager’s quest for recognition and willingness to commit crimes to achieve it could lead him and his division down a dangerous and destructive path.
Origins
Rye Vive comes from an exiled clan in the Misty Forest, the Clan of Vive. Their specialty dealt with radical chemical inventions, which unfortunately harmed the forest they lived in. Unrecognized and unvalued by the other clans in the Misty Forest, they were treated like pests that needed to be rid of. When an opportunity arose, the other clans did not hesitate to eliminate and banish the Clan of Vive.
However, the clan’s innate interest in chemistry lived on in Rye as the sole remaining clan member on the forest border of Rustmore and Misty Forest. Harboring a hatred towards the other clan, Rye continued to work on potent concoctions to seek vengeance for the harm to his clan.
One day, a passing traveller chanced upon Rye’s research hut. Learning about Rye’s vast knowledge of chemistry and his past, the traveller asked him to join him in a secret organization where his chemist skills would be highly valued.
In a twist of events, Rye joined the assassination organization – Banshee Ensemble. Known as Poison Pip or Pip due to his small size, the young Mystic quickly rose to become the Woodwind Division Leader with his arsenal of chemical weaponry.
However, the other divisions did not respect Pip as a leader due to his petite size and unconventional assassination skills. They often look down on his chemical inventions, touting them as amateurish toys, believing that a real assassination is to kill in a flash or in secret.
As Pip seeks to prove his value to the organization, he is willing to take extreme measures, justifying his reckless actions as necessary to achieve the goals. However, he is also ready to go to great lengths to succeed, even if it means crossing moral boundaries or risking his own safety.
