Abilities (Level)
Execution Without Error (Z)
- Ahri could kill any being with a single precise strike, including supposedly immortal entities. But this power didn’t pass down to Heretic.
Regalian Torture Arts (A)
- Mastered over 1,000 techniques for extracting truth without killing. Could keep subjects alive indefinitely while breaking their will entirely. This knowledge floods back during Heretic’s possession states.
Soul Sight (A)
- Could see the spiritual weight of one’s actions. Guilt, innocence, sin, virtue. Used this to determine sentences. Currently manifests as Heretic’s “unsettling stare.”
Weaknesses
The Love Block
- Deliberately buried by the reincarnation elixir, he cannot remember his love for Caelus until exposed to a specific trigger.
Vessel Limitations
- Andy Dufort’s body is not built for Executioner-level combat. Muscle memory exceeds physical capacity. Ahri can injure himself by attempting techniques his current form cannot sustain.
Obsessive Focus
- Once he identifies a target, Ahri cannot abandon pursuit. Will ignore survival needs, safety, or strategic advantage to confront his objective.

Appearance
Ahri Slater was Regalian perfection. 6’0″, exactly as tall as he needed to be authoritative without being looming. Smooth, hairless skin with jet-black hair worn long and tied formally. His crimson eyes were sharp, assessing, always calculating where muscle met bone, where nerve met pain.
He was dense with muscle, thick through the chest and shoulders from years of physically restraining struggling subjects, heavy in the thighs and glutes from standing for hours during extended interrogations. His hands were his pride and tool: large, callused, surprisingly warm. Strong fingers that could crush bone or trace feather-light pressure on sensitive nerves.
The executioner’s black fit him tightly across his muscular frame, shadow-cloth stretched over thick shoulders and down to a narrow waist. He moved with deliberate weight—each step grounded, physical presence announcing itself before he spoke.
Personality
Ahri was intense, with a single-minded focus that made others nervous. When he looked at someone, he saw them entirely: muscle tension, breathing rate, the exact angle of their fear. He didn’t enjoy hurting people, which somehow made him more terrifying than those who did.
He enjoyed precision. The perfect cut. The exact moment of truth.
He was quiet by nature, raised in a household where observation meant survival. His father taught him to read bodies. Diagnosis and torture share the same vocabulary of pressure and response. Ahri learned to speak with his hands before his voice, and even at the height of his power, he preferred physical communication to words.
Origins
Ahri was born to them Merchant Healer Caste. His father was a physician to the Execution Caste, treating the wounds they received from resisting prisoners, the stress injuries from their work, and the infections from careless cuts.
Young Ahri learned anatomy at the kitchen table, tracing diagrams of nerve clusters and muscle groups while his father prepared medicines.
The Execution Caste was hereditary, sacred, and untouchable. But Ahri had studied their techniques through observation, practiced on condemned animals, developed innovations—quicker nerve blocks, cleaner kills, methods of truth-extraction that left subjects functional afterward.
When the King’s own nephew required… questioning, and the hereditary executioners failed, Ahri volunteered.
He was twenty-two. He succeeded where they failed. The King, furious at the Execution caste’s incompetence, broke a thousand years of tradition and elevated Ahri, common-born, self-taught, impossibly skilled, to High Executioner.
While others resented him, Caelus was different from the start. The White Knight didn’t care about caste. He cared about results, about the strange young man who spoke of justice with genuine belief. Their bond formed slowly. Respect, then friendship, then late nights discussing ethics, then hands touching in darkness, then bodies pressed together in the one place Ahri felt safe, his execution chamber, after hours, cleaned and quiet and his.
He killed the King because he had to.
The conspiracy against the Creator would have destroyed everything, including Caelus.
