Velocity can move at super speed, allowing him to cover long distances in a short period, dodge high-speed projectiles, and deliver rapid punches.

Accelerated Healing (A)

With his enhanced metabolism, he can heal faster than a regular human. This allows Velocity to recover rapidly from an injury he suffered.

Accelerated Mental Processing (A)

When engaging in his speed, Velocity can process vision and thoughts at an accelerated pace to keep up with his environment. His surrounding would appear to be in slow motion for the speedster.

Calories depletion

Super speed take a toll on Velocity’s body and require a high level of calories to function. To counter this, Velocity carried high-calories supplements to keep up his energy levels.

Appearance

Shane is a tall, handsome, and muscular man. He has blonde hair that parts at the side and a set of piercing blue eyes. His Adonis-like body is shredded to perfection with two wide mounts of pectoral muscles and a well-defined set of abs. His arms are rock-solid, lined with pulsing veins that add to his raw masculinity.

As Velocity, he wears a red-yellow full-body suit with a full face mask and a set of goggles. The goggles act as windshields to protect his eyes when he moves at super speed. In addition, he wears a pair of fingerless gauntlets that extends over his muscular forearms. A sharp “V” symbol is painted across his majestic chest.

Personality

Velocity has a strong sense of justice due to his upbringing. Generations of police officers had ingrained a strong sense of justice and honor in the hero.

He is knowledgeable and likes to guide rookie heroes on their path to becoming full-fledged Supes. However, he does not deal well with failures and often loses confidence when faced with setbacks. In this sense, he is also very stubborn and isn’t likely to learn from his mistakes.

Velocity is a strong leader and can soundly make decisions for his team. Like Ember Man, he is considered a potential new leader for the Top Five in True Blue’s absence.

Origins

Shane was not always advocating for righteousness and justice. When he was at the rebellious age of 16, he refused to follow the traditional career path of his police family. Instead, he made it a point to be the black sheep in his family, involving himself in petty crimes such as shoplifting and vandalizing.

One rainy evening, he was caught red-handed shoplifting at a video game shop by his father. Then, his father pleaded with him to stop his rebelling streak and that the family would support him in whichever pathway he chose. They had never intended to conform Shane to a life of police work. It was all in the young boy’s mind.

On the ride home in the pouring rain, their car passed by a group of intoxicated muggers robbing a lady in a dark alley. His father quickly left to help the woman. But, in a moment of panic, one of the muggers stabbed his father in the stomach, leaving him to bleed against a utility pole by the curb.

Shane ran over to his dying father. The boy was drenched to his skin as he held his father’s head. Then, when he was bawling his eyes out, a lightning bolt struck the utility pole. The electricity flow through the father and son, effectively ending the father’s life and knocking the boy into a coma.

When Shane awoke from his coma at a local hospital, he discovered that the incident had infused a set of superhuman abilities into him. As he recalled that night, a sense of pride and justice swelled within him as he held onto the last memory of his father’s heroism. At that moment, he decided to continue his family legacy to protect the lives of civilians.
