Even before his graduation, Russell Manor was an award-winning scientist. His interest in material research had bought him many accolades from several fields and industries.

In his early twenties, Russell led a team of expert scientists in a humanitarian research project. Their goal was to develop a sturdy, light, and flexible material suitable for mass housing in Bismuth.

One late evening, when the young scientist was experimenting with radioactivity products, the machine, which he was using for his tests, overheated. What resulted was a micro nuclear meltdown, causing an enormous explosion and destroying half of his lab.

But when Russell awoke, he found himself unscathed among the debris. His body glowed strange radiation before it subsided away. Within the next few days, Russell realized something was off. His body had gained some form of plasticity, allowing him to stretch beyond human limits.

“That must be why I was unharmed during the explosion,” said Russell once in an interview. “Somehow, the radiation gave me elastic powers before it exploded, essentially saving my life.”

When asked about the formula for this discovery, the young scientist shook his head, “There was no formula. I was working with too many materials at a time. It could be any one of them or a combination of them. It’s too dangerous to experiment further.”

But having powers did not change anything for the scientist immediately. He continued working on his material research, knowing at the back of his mind that he could do something even more significant outside the confines of his lab.
