Appearance

Thomas has wavy brown hair, which he usually combs back and under a military jockey cap. His intense, weathered green eyes showed the trained ranger’s experiences in his years of service. The striking soldier is tall, and his physique is well-developed from extensive military training and missions.

Detesting the typical tight-fitting hero outfits, Lt. Maverick does not wear a mask or anything similar to the other heroes.

Instead, the soldier is most often seen in a modified version of the military uniform. He would wear a specially designed lightweight bullet-proof jacket over his army slacks with a pair of high-laced black military boots. He does not carry a utility belt or vest because of his dimensional storage ability.

Underneath, he has his olive-green tank top that is tightly wrapped around his muscular torso. His bulge pecs could be seen pushing against the tight undershirt. A dog tag hung around his thick neck and rested between the twin mounds of pectoral muscles.

Finally, he wore black half-finger gloves that helped him grip his weapons better.

Personality

Lt. Maverick is not very approachable. He rarely shows emotions, giving a cold impression to others. His manner of speaking tends to be very blunt and authoritative and even insulting at times. He does not hesitate to provoke or belittle anyone who opposes or irritates him, making him unsettling to most of his colleagues.

He is usually either frowning or expressionless. The man maintains an extremely calm and asserting demeanor, making it hard for others to guess what he is thinking. This, however, was seen as confidence and assurance to the public, which made the hero extremely popular among the masses.

Although he rarely shows it, Maverick has a strong sense of morality and empathy. He is willing to resort to violence against criminals and take extreme measures to protect the innocent. He continuously guides his peers and subordinates through his tough method of training. The hero strongly believes that pain and suffering should be felt in training and not on the battlefield.

Despite being a natural leader, Maverick operates rather independently. He often takes on solo missions and accomplishes them with little cooperation from others. Even though he is highly skilled in battle, he is not arrogant.

Origins

Thomas Maverick was not a superpowered being to begin with.

He started his career as a regular military officer and was enlisted into the Republic of Kant Armed Forces (KAF). His superiors quickly recognized his keen senses, high intelligence, and developed physique. Hence, the young officer was assigned to the Secret Forces as a Ranger.

Over the years, the Ranger continuously proved his skills by succeeding in many underground operations. However, during a solo stealth mission in a foreign land to overturn a massive covert trading operation, his communications were cut off for a couple of days. After which, the operation was deemed the soldier’s first failed mission.

The soldier returned to the Republic of Kant but could not account for what happened. Shortly after his return, he discovered his new powers of dimensional storage. Knowing that having powers in the military would disrupt the chain-of-commands, Maverick decided that his skills were best used to support the nation through the Kant Alliance.
