Did not expect to see Captain Solar in the epilogue of book 4 lol 😆
So my guess was right then , Captain Solar was the one that got away of Billie Eye lens !?
I was about to remind that Nox still owe us a special story for the Popularity Contest which should be Captain Solar and Sugarloaf !?
Anyways good to see Captain Solar is back and feel excited to see more him in the future story along with his son (oh yeah ! 😝
Oh and since Captain Solar is back, this probably leads to the story where Lynx will be taken down by the Heroes !? Mentioned in the Book 1
Sad that we did not see much conversation about Hammer heroes and Kant heroes talk about what happened with the King 😂
Oh ! And no doute that Dust Devil is for sure one of the 7 sins Sprites … the one that’s about Laziness 😆
If my guess continues, the artifact of Mistletoe Cologne is definitely come from Hague Domain as well
And probably some 7 sins Sprites were also looking for it or intentionally gave it to Mistletoe in the first place hihi 🤪
BTW where is Icebreaker (Alexander) ?
BTW one thing about Book 4 story, I have always want to see how Minotaur was tortured by the king and then submitted to him. Thinking of it is already getting hot 🥵 really like to see Big muscle man being broken down
Sad we don’t get see it through 🥴🥴
Haha, yes. Captain Solar was the one that got away.
As explained by the young scientist, the theory was the layered of control over Captain Solar. Tenth/King Ramon used Billie Eye Lens on him first in Fall of the Sun. Billie Eye Lens work by creating a seed in the victim and take over his mind and body. This control got hijacked when Herb used the corrupting energies in an attempt to corrupt Captain’s personality but ended up corrupting the BLE’s seed, causing the King to lose control. When the King’s powers were ripped off from him by Dust Devil, the seed was destroyed together with the corruption. For a little more details on Billie Eye Lens, you can check out the Artifact page here.
I’m glad you are excited to see the Captain back in action. I have a story planned for Captain and Lynx. Let’s see when I can get to it!
Don’t worry, the heroes will have snippets of conversation here and there in the future. This has seeped deeply into the history of Rustmore, after all.
Thanks for your other thoughts. Unfortunately, I didn’t want to dive too dive into too many pairings because there are still more stories to come! I might circle back again with some spin-off stories – e.g. Minotaur and Aegis. I did skip them because of the pace of the arc.

Man what an ending to a long book full of twist and turns! You keep amazing me by churning out story after story but bringing out a whole book full story and connections was a treat to read. And the final fight between Renegade and the controlled heroes was exciting to read. Even if he did go out at the end reading him try to fend off and fight against the heroes was fun to read.
Now we have King Ryan, im sure its going to be a while before he hear anything new about the king and even longer about renegade but im curious at how things well end up. Will his homeland be more calm now that he is king? You would assume with him having worked with the Banshee that there would be less problems. Or will the inexperience of being royalty lead to even more problems. He was a prince sure but Ryan was playing hero for a good while, did the king have his son learn what it takes to lead and control a country before passing?
Not sure if it will be touched on but I am curiois at how all the controlled men are doing after being cleansed of the kings control. Do they remember everything? Have they been changed somewhat since before their submition? Is Gallant still a good slave to Mino? Is Ambroses pride tempered somewhat now that he is the best at riding with his purple G-String? 😜
Time to be an unqualified critic. It may be because im a renegade simp but i do wish we got to see more of him. He of course was in the book but I feel like he never really got to shine or have any connecting moments. A bit of a side character in a major story connecting his father. Watching from his room, trying to free jaguar and fail, to following the Banshees plans and being a distraction to seeing his Father be blinded and pass and him pushed to being king. Feels like he was kind of just a cog in the story. Wish there were more interactions in the stort with him and the others, maybe himself putting things together instead of being told info and plans. But not everyone can have the spotlight in stories or who knows maybe I just wanted to see the king play with Ryan at the end before Pip saved the day haha.
Last note but i just want to say Nox you are an insane writer to have all of these characters doing various things in this final step. So many men and you did it flawlessly! Major respect.
I cant wait to see what you have next. Captain Solar is back and im sure he has things to do before settling down. Excited for Solar and Daybreak reunion!
Hey Axel! Thank you for all these kind words! I don’t know so much about being an insane writer, but you did make me blush! And I’m so glad to know that I keep my readers happy during this series. This story arc was really quite an adventure when I planned it out. So many relationships and loose ends that I need to tie up closing this chapter. Some ends are still open for the future, of course!
Renegade is a quick learner, but without a doubt, he will fumble every now and then, but he will pick up as he goes along. I might write more about his leadership over Rustmore and his relationship with the superhero alliances internationally. But for now, Renegade would take a backseat as I move to the next few arcs in my timeline.
But thanks for your critics. I take them in stride, as always. I’m not an experienced writer, nor do I have a teacher, so I’m still learning the ins and outs of writing well on my own. I guess the “hero” of the story was developed as much as I should have. I will keep it in mind when I move to my next story arc – Book 5: The Beckoning.

You know while the epilogue is good, does leave a few things unfinished.
How are each of the Heroes that Mikhail mind controlled going to deal with the trauma they will no doubt have? They are not going go back with to doing their hero duties like that, not with all of that heavy PTSD that they have. The late corrupt king had made them do horrid things that is most NEVER going be easily forgotten.
Especially people like Lt. Maverick who was the 1st hero mind controlled and led his comrades to their possible downfall and others like Elastic Man who now has nipple rings, which ever if he has them removed, he will have the shame of wearing them.
They need some Heavy Therapy to put that aside and focus on what they have to do.
And Captain Solar regaining his mind? Am I sensing Red Flags there. There is no telling if it is really him, or the Dark Magic he was corrupted with taking control again…
But those are my opinions.
Of course, each hero will have his own PTSD. I guess this opens the door to some more stories to continue with each hero. Or even some fanfics along the road. I love the fact that you remember the details of the nipple rings, etc. Sometimes, my memories get messed up that I missed things that I write myself. 😀
As for Captain Solar, I popped in a spoiler response above to clear up the rationale why. It was the sequence of how Billie Eye Lens worked and the sequence of control in Fall of the Sun. 😀
