Tier: A -Tier

Occupation:
First Champion of the Empire
Sands Alliance

Scarab City,

Abilities (Level)

Telepath (A)

  • As a Telepath, Mirage can read minds and, to a certain extent, influence them with mind control.

Mirage Weave (A)

  • Mirage can bend light to create solid illusions with physical presence, weight, and temperature. Can create duplicates, alter his appearance, or reshape environmental perception. His illusions are nearly perfect, using his telepathy powers to adjust them to his viewer’s expectations.
Weaknesses

Mental Fatigue

  • Extended telepathic use causes crippling migraines, nosebleeds, and temporary blindness in his amber eye. Must rest mind or risk psychic feedback loops.

Iron Will

  • Individuals with exceptional mental discipline or telepathic training can block his intrusions, causing painful recoil.

Appearance

Omar stands a little over six feet. Lean and coiled rather than bulky. Every muscle group sits tight and defined beneath smooth olive-bronze skin, abs cut without exaggeration, shoulders broad enough to fill the costume without straining it. Almost no body hair mark him. His chest and forearms stay smooth.

Omar has a striking face, strong jaw, and full lips. His eyes are his trademark: his left is an amber-gold while his right is a piercing blue. Both are intense and catch the light differently, giving him an otherworldly beauty.

His hair is black, cut short at the sides, longer on top, and sweep back with a stray lock falling loose.

As Mirage, his costume is royal blue silk, cut close to a body built to wear it well. Gold circuitry patterns run across the chest, seeming to shift faintly at the edge of vision. Matching trousers pull tight through the thigh. A gold sash knot at the hip.

Personality

Omar is brilliant, arrogant, impeccably controlled, and utterly ruthless in his ambition. His intelligence is his defining trait, telepathy merely amplifying what sharp observation already provides.

As the First Champion, he commands the other Champions of the Sands with absolute authority. He reads rooms instantly, knows exactly what others want to hear, and delivers it with perfect sincerity, whether he believes it or not. This makes him an exceptional diplomat and terrifying opponent.

Everything with Omar is strategy. Even his kindness is calculated. He is never not performing, never not reading, never not ten moves ahead, and he is lonely most of the time but would rather die than admit it.

Origins

Omar’s telepathy showed up before his first words did. His parents were working at the Sands Alliance, and they reported him to the Empire, seeing profit in a psychic son.

By the time he was old enough to remember any of it clearly, he was already inside the Champion training pipeline. A resource for the Empire.

He was seven the first time he killed someone. A training drill paired him against an older boy on a rooftop endurance course. Omar built the boy a doorway that wasn’t there, at the platform’s edge, and made certain the boy felt no doubt at all when he stepped through it. The trainers logged it as a successful exercise. Omar understood, even at seven, that it had been something else.

By sixteen, his climb through the Empire’s ranks was fast, even for a system built to fast-track its most useful children.

His rise to First Champion had no single visible moment. It ended with his predecessor’s death, ruled natural, never investigated, and in truth, that was what everyone around him believed.

He had the title now. A base in Scarab City. A reputation that did most of the work before he ever walked into a room.
